Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: name, email address, password (encrypted with bcrypt — we never see your plain password)
• Profile info: blood group, medical notes, emergency contacts, social links, photo URL
• Order info: delivery address, phone number (only if you purchase a sticker)
• Usage data: QR scan events — we log which profile was scanned and which page was viewed. No personal data about the person scanning is collected.

What is public

Your emergency info page and Find Me page are publicly visible to anyone with the URL or who scans your QR. This is the core function of the product — you consent to this when you create your profile. You can edit or clear your information at any time from the dashboard.

What we don't do

• We never sell your data to anyone
• We never share your data with third parties except for order fulfilment (shipping partner)
• We don't run ads and have no ad trackers
• We don't use cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for authentication

Data storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (US East region). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Data is transmitted over HTTPS at all times.

Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, emergency info, social links, and all associated data are removed. Alternatively, email us at hello@meraid.in and we'll process within 7 working days.
